Nearly’s two best friends are Anh Bui and Jeremy Fowler. This picture of Jennifer Garner is very similar to the image I have of Mona in my mind.
Mona had Nearly at a very young age, and with the exception of her old soul and a few smoke lines around her eyes, she’s still a young woman. Add a thistle tattoo to one forearm and a couple of eyebrow piercings, darken his hair a bit, then deprive him of sleep for a week, and viola! Reece Whelan, her love interest, could be played by a guy like Chace Crawford. This is the photo I think of when I imagine Nearly. Just as beautiful in jeans and a hoodie as she is in a little black dress. She’s smart and fearless in a small package. In my mind, Nearly Boswell has always been played by Ellen Page.
